Make use of the natural potential of breaks in your workshop design.
When we talk about breaks, we often think of them as breathers and moments when participants pause, drink coffee, and mingle.
There is so much more to them.
Be deliberate and strategic about where and why you add breaks and how long you make them. Don’t only think about when the participants would need a pause.
Here are some examples:
-> Lunch breaks are great debriefing arenas
-> Natural closures for topics
-> Warm up’s for presentations
-> Increase anticipation and build suspense
-> Redesign and informal check-in
A break is never just a break; utilize their natural potential.
The best thing is that you can always add on some if you want them to have „just“ a break.
